Connect Facebook Ads to Google Sheets: a CSV export or a scheduled sync

Connect Facebook Ads to Google Sheets: export or sync

Connect Facebook Ads to Google Sheets by exporting a CSV from Ads Manager and importing it each time, or by adding a connector's Sheets add-on or destination task that refreshes on a schedule. Lead form entries from lead ads are a different job.

A destination task is Windsor.ai's term for a scheduled load of one table into a destination such as Sheets. Windsor.ai documents two scheduled methods and calls the destination task usually faster and more straightforward.

Three ways to fill a sheet with Facebook Ads data

Ads Manager CSV exportBy hand each timeNeeds admin, advertiser or analyst access
Windsor.ai Sheets add-onA query reload replaces the dataNeeds your Windsor.ai API key
Windsor.ai destination taskDaily on Basic, hourly from StandardBasic allows 5 destination tasks

The manual route: an Ads Manager export

Meta's Ads Reporting exports a saved report as an .xlsx or .csv file: tick the report and click Export. You need administrator, advertiser or analyst access to the ad account, and reports reach back at most 37 months from the request.

Windsor.ai describes a similar route from Ads Manager. Open the Export data table, export a CSV file to avoid formatting issues, then import it in Google Sheets. Choosing Replace on import overwrites the data on the current sheet, so copy anything you keep first.

Each re-import is a manual step, so the sheet is only as current as the last export. One ad account and an occasional update need nothing more.

The scheduled route: an add-on or a destination task

The destination task, in Windsor.ai's documented order:

  1. Connect Facebook Ads in Windsor.ai with an account that has at least analyst access to the ad account, then choose the data fields.
  2. Pick Google Sheets as the destination and click Add Destination Task.
  3. Authorize your Google account in the new tab, then name the task, spreadsheet and sheet.
  4. Set Columns to Match, such as id, date and campaign, so syncs update rows instead of adding duplicates.
  5. Choose the schedule and save. A green upload button with status ok means the task is running.

The schedule is daily on Basic and hourly from Standard. A backfill, which loads older history into the sheet, needs a paid plan.

The add-on route: in Sheets, open Extensions, Add-ons, Get add-ons, search for Windsor.ai, install it and paste your API key. Click Add New Query, then Load Data. A reload replaces the data that was there, so keep your own formulas on another sheet.

Many client accounts in one sheet

Clients can connect their own account through an authorization link, with no shared password. Windsor.ai counts one data source per platform and one account total across all of them. On Professional and Enterprise, auto-add connects every available account in a data source.

On Basic, 5 destination tasks means 5 active scheduled syncs that each update one table once a day, and a backfill counts as one.

Windsor.ai sends Facebook Ads data to Sheets through a destination task or its add-on. As read on October 24, 2026, Basic is $19 a month billed annually (the year is paid up front) or $23 on monthly billing, for 3 data sources and 75 accounts. Standard is $99 billed annually or $118 monthly, for 7 data sources, 75 accounts, unlimited destination tasks and hourly syncs. Windsor.ai pricing lists every plan.

Other Sheets routes

Dataslayer lists Google Sheets as a core destination with unlimited rows on paid plans, and its Free plan comes with one core destination; Windsor.ai vs Dataslayer sets the two side by side. Power My Analytics includes Sheets and Excel from Grow, not on Business. Porter Metrics lists Google Sheets and prices each connected account.

Zapier prices by tasks and is an automation tool, not an ad-reporting connector, so it is no like-for-like choice here. Google's own Sheets add-ons cover Google Ads and GA4 reports; the Google Ads Google Sheets add-on guide covers the Google Ads one.
