Best Looker Studio connectors: six options compared by what they meter

The best Looker Studio connectors compared by what each meters, which destinations it includes and what its free tier allows, read from vendor pages.

Quick answerGoogle's own Looker Studio connectors cover Google Ads and Google Analytics, and Facebook Ads comes through third-party connectors. Six vendors are sorted here by what they meter, so you can match one to your number of accounts and destinations.
Windsor.ai is likely to fit when

✓ Freelancers and small agencies that connect the same few platforms for many client accounts

✓ Teams that want Looker Studio, Sheets and BigQuery from one subscription

✓ Teams that add clients often and want a shared account total with unlimited users

✓ Buyers comparing a per-source account limit with a shared account pool

Important limitations

— Teams whose data is only Google Ads and GA4, where Google connectors and the native BigQuery export may be enough

— Teams that need more than 14 data sources or 500 accounts without an Enterprise quote

— Owners who want a standalone reporting app rather than data sent to Looker Studio, Sheets or a warehouse

— One-off reports where a manual export is quicker than a subscription

Best Looker Studio connectors: start with Google's own

Looker Studio reaches data through connectors. Google's connector catalog lists its own, including BigQuery, Google Sheets, Google Analytics, Google Ads and Search Console, and Google's documentation says third-party developers build the connectors for products such as Facebook Ads. Google's current documentation also says Looker Studio is now called Data Studio. This guide keeps the Looker Studio name because that is what people search for.

If all your data is Google data, you may not need a paid connector. A GA4 property can export to BigQuery natively, and Looker Studio can read BigQuery. A paid connector makes sense when you need Meta or other non-Google platforms, many client accounts, or the same data in several destinations. This shortlist covers that case on connectors only, read from each vendor's pages on October 24, 2026.

Six connector options compared by what they meter

  • Windsor.ai: one count of data sources and a shared account total. Its pricing page lists unlimited Looker Studio syncs from Basic, a 30-day trial, then a free plan with 1 data source and 1 account.
  • Supermetrics: accounts per data source, 2 on Starter and 7 on Growth, with one core destination that can be Looker Studio. It lists a 14-day trial.
  • Coupler.io: total accounts and destinations, 3 accounts and 1 destination on Starter, 15 and 3 on Active, 50 and unlimited on Pro. Its Looker Studio page cites 60 or more sources and refresh as often as every 15 minutes, and it lists a 7-day trial, then a free plan with 1 account and manual refresh.
  • Porter Metrics: a charge per connected account, with no stated cap on the number of accounts. It is built around Looker Studio, lists 26 integrations on its Data Studio page, and offers a 14-day trial, then a free plan limited to 30 days of history.
  • Funnel: a data hub on annually billed plans, where capacity points the vendor calls flexpoints cover connectors (50 each), accounts (5 each), visualization destinations such as Looker Studio (150) and warehouse destinations such as BigQuery (300). It lists a 30-day trial.
  • Dataslayer: connectors and accounts per connector, 3 and 3 on Starter, 7 and 50 on Advanced, 10 and 100 on Pro, with Looker Studio as a core destination with unlimited rows. It lists a 15-day trial, then a free plan with 1 connector and 1 account.

Which option fits your account count and destinations

  • One to three accounts: compare the free tiers and the smallest paid limits. The free plans of Windsor.ai, Coupler.io and Dataslayer each cover 1 account, Porter Metrics' free plan lists unlimited connected accounts with 30 days of history, and Coupler.io's Starter covers 3 accounts.
  • Many accounts on a few platforms: a shared account pool (Windsor.ai) or a per-account charge (Porter Metrics) scales differently from a per-source limit (Supermetrics, Dataslayer). Run your real count through each. Windsor.ai vs Supermetrics shows one worked case.
  • Looker Studio plus a warehouse: Windsor.ai includes all destinations on every plan, Coupler.io counts destinations by plan, Dataslayer applies monthly row limits to BigQuery but not to Looker Studio, and Funnel lists BigQuery on its Business plan.
  • Enterprise scale: Supermetrics Enterprise lists custom user and account limits on a quote, and Funnel lists its Enterprise plan as custom.

What to test during a trial

  • Field names. Reports that use calculated fields can break when a connector names a field differently.
  • Refresh frequency against how fresh the report must be.
  • Who holds the credentials. Google's documentation says a data source using the owner's credentials lets viewers see a report without their own access to the dataset, so the person who connects holds the access.
  • Apps Script. In a Google Workspace organization, community connectors cannot fetch data if Apps Script is disabled.
  • What happens when the trial ends: a free plan, access ending, or a forced choice. Windsor.ai's pricing page and terms of service describe this differently, so ask.

When a free path is enough

If you report on Google Ads and GA4 only, Google's connectors cost nothing. If you need Meta data once a month for one client, a manual export to Google Sheets may be quicker than any subscription. Choose a paid connector when the manual work repeats across accounts or months.
