Google Ads Google Sheets add on: Google's own and the paid options

Last reviewed October 24, 2026

Quick answerGoogle's own Google Ads add-on for Sheets lists no charge, refreshes on a schedule and takes one account per spreadsheet. For many client accounts in one sheet, Windsor.ai Basic covers 75 at $19 a month billed annually.

Google Ads Google Sheets add on: Google's own comes first

Google's own Google Ads add-on for Google Sheets is the first choice for one account: Google's help page shows it with a "+Free" install button, its Marketplace listing shows no price, and it takes one Google Ads account per spreadsheet. Google's help page says the Google Ads add-on for Sheets is available in English and only in the United States, while its Marketplace listing says only English, so check that the add-on appears for your account.

  1. In Google Sheets, choose Add-ons, then Get add-ons, and search for Google Ads.
  2. Install it, signed in to the Google account that has access to the Google Ads account.
  3. Choose Create a new report from the Google Ads menu and set the date range, report type and filters in the side panel.
  4. Pick a schedule. Google says the data then refreshes automatically in the sheet, and Refresh report runs it by hand.

When Google's add-on runs out: many accounts in one sheet

The limit is one Google Ads account per spreadsheet, so a freelancer with 12 client accounts needs 12 spreadsheets. Windsor.ai puts many accounts in one sheet. As read on October 24, 2026, Basic covers 75 accounts in one total across 3 sources, Google Ads among them, at $19 a month billed annually or $23 on monthly billing. Windsor.ai's sizing rule is to pick the smallest plan whose limits cover both the sources and the accounts.

Windsor.ai documents two Sheets methods. The add-on needs your API key and reloads a query, replacing the data that was there. A destination task is typically faster, and Columns to Match lets each sync update the right row instead of adding duplicates. Destination tasks run daily on Basic and hourly from Standard. Backfilling history needs a paid plan, and on Basic each backfill counts as a scheduled sync.

Picking by account count

  • One Google Ads account: Google's add-on.
  • Several accounts or platforms in one sheet: Windsor.ai, with 3 to 14 sources and 75 to 500 accounts by plan, or Dataslayer Advanced, with 50 accounts per connector.
  • A bill per connected account: Porter Metrics, $12.50 a month for one account on annual billing.

A Windsor.ai free account can test the Sheets add-on or a destination task for 30 days on up to 15 accounts. The account then moves to a Forever Free plan, and the Terms say trial access ends. Windsor.ai pricing lists every plan, connect Facebook Ads to Google Sheets covers the same two methods for Meta data, and Windsor.ai vs Power My Analytics sets the closest Sheets rival beside it.
